Rumors

So there is apparently this rumor going around that I am Zod. Or something like that. I just want to point out for the record that this is clearly impossible, for a variety of reasons:

1. Zod is a Kryptonian male; I am a human female.
2. Zod is sleek and stylin'; I am unsleek and dowdy.
3. As a vegetarian for the last 19 years, I would never wear leather even if it was wickedly hot .
4. If I had superpowers, there is no way I would have spent 3 hours on the bus this afternoon to do my shopping.
5. If I was in Lex's body, world conquest would not be at the top of my agenda; I'd be way too busy playing with myself in front of a mirror. (Umm. Did I say that out loud?)

So, just to be clear, [livejournal.com profile] iamzodkneel is a completely different person, and anyone who thinks otherwise will be smitten by Zod. Err, smited. Smote. Conquered! is just silly.

Anyway, IP addresses can be spoofed, dammit! And it couldn't have been me, because I was in the hospital, recovering from major surgery, after driving all day from Delaware to New Jersey, and my maid/nanny/assistant can confirm all of this. And if you continue to question me my armies of lawyers will descend upon you!!!

Now that we have that cleared up, I'm sure you're all dying to know which of my fake opinions from yesterday was the real one! SO here's a little poll:

[Poll #759921]

[identity profile] clari-clyde.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Just because you agree with one, it doesn’t follow you disagree with the others. Likewise, just because you disagree with five of them, doesn’t follow that you agree with the last one.

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
True, but it's really not a logic puzzle. One of those statements I agree with completely. The other five I agree with only slightly or not at all.

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
Well, actually, to be completely fair and accurate, one statement I agree with completely; one statement I agree with somewhat; one statement has deliberately tricky wording; and the rest I disagree with.

[identity profile] myownghost.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
i hope you make a post later explaining in minute detail exactly how much or how little you agree with each point. ;)

i waffled on voting. almost chose the BR is better than TW one, but then i couldn't. just couldn't. it felt disloyal. *g*

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Okay...let me get this straight...Soylent Green is people?

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it. You maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God, damn you ALL TO HELL!!"

Um, we are trading famous sci-fi movie quotes, right?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
We are now!!

[identity profile] allzugern.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
If I was in Lex's body, world conquest would not be at the top of my agenda; I'd be way too busy playing with myself in front of a mirror.

*dies laughing* Me too :-)

I spent yesterday going through all the puppet play and I couldn't stop laughing at how into it everyone was. It really should be an annual fest in honour of the nuttyness that is fandom sometimes. Next year I'll even get myself a puppet and play!

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
I totally agree that it should be an annual thing. That way people have lots of time to make up creative and wacky socks. (My total favorite was [livejournal.com profile] tony_the_linter, because he was just so bizarre). And you should completely play!

Hypothetically, if one happened to find oneself in Lex's body, would it be very immoral to seduce Clark?

[identity profile] allzugern.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 08:23 am (UTC)(link)

No. I would see it as my duty to get the job done. Lex can then thank me later :-P

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, when you put it that way, I have to agree.

ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] bop-radar.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 11:07 am (UTC)(link)
Are you Zod?!

I come online to have a quiet browse and first I find hideous pictures of Tom the Monstrosity, and then I find that you've been masquerading as Zod?! *shakes head* The world is upside down!

If you ARE Zod, OMG, you are so great!

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
See, I made a whole POST explaining why I could not be Zod. Clearly this is some enormous misunderstanding. The fact that I am conquering fandom with my scary icon is simply a coincidence.

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] bop-radar.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmph. Well that's very disappointing. Very disappointing. I was going to marvel at your cunningness, but I guess I can't now. *shrugs*

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
See, if *I* were in charge of sockpuppet day, identities would never be revealed, to keep that aura of mystery. Like, I have absolutely no idea who your sockpuppet could have been. For all I know, *you* were Zod!

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] bop-radar.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... this liking of the aura of mystery implies things, methinks.

Also, I am way not cool enough to be Zod. No sirree!

(And dude, did you originally make Zod up to help push the 'delurkathon' comments over the 1500 mark?! Because HEE if you did! We all fell for it like suckers...)

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
If I were Zod, I would say that actually someone else was masquerading as Zod during the delurkathon (someone I know the identity of, because this person politely asked my permission before playing), and therefore was actually a different Zod than the one that first appeared in the love meme.

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] bop-radar.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
If you were Zod...

*huffs* Well they didn't ask MY permission before rocking up in the love meme.

All these Zods... it's too confusing for a fangirl of small brain like me.

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] bop-radar.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
PS. OMG, did I defend YOU from YOU in the love meme?! *rotfl* What a sucker am I!!! I was SO had.

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
In this hypothetical scenario in which I pretend to be Zod, I would say that I thought it was obvious to everyone that I was playing sockpuppets, because I am never deliberately mean to anyone and I was deliberately mean to Zod, both in the love meme and on sockpuppet day. (I am also assuming that this is how [livejournal.com profile] mskatej figured it out, unless she actually did IP investigation.)

Re: ARE YOU ZOD???!!

[identity profile] bop-radar.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Hee! Well, you credit me with too much intelligence, methinks, since I failed to follow the clues there. I guess I just thought that you considered 'Zod' a fair target. And in my own mind, it made sense--anyone who pulls on the Zod mask has to be prepared for the tough calls, as far as I'm concerned! ;-) Kate, however, is a cluey fangirl. She clued to Becky as the lint guy too. I didn't pick that one either...

[identity profile] myownghost.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
i'm with [livejournal.com profile] bop_radar. if you are zod, you did a fabulous job! at one point, i was genuinely a little alarmed... no, several times, i was genuinely alarmed by his responses to me. (it was hot.) the icon was damn scary. and dead sexy. woo!

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Zod is definitely alarming, and possibly a little sexy , but why would I make a whole post denying I was Zod if I were Zod? It wouldn't make sense!

[identity profile] myownghost.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
ahhhh, good point. WELL, then, i'll just assume [livejournal.com profile] iamzodkneel is the genuine article.

note to zod:

come back to the five and dime, jimmy dean, jimmy dean! i'm still your minion!

[identity profile] clarkscherry.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 03:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I goofed on my answer on this poll. I do not think BR is a better Clark than TW. I think its so damn close, I'd call it a draw. BR is definitely very capable in Superman Returns, and I actually DO think he is a better CK than Christopher Reeves ( EEEK Blasphemy! I always thought CR took the bumbling dork persona too far over-the-top)

Since I've never seen SGA and I don't know who John Shepard is, I can't voice my opinion on that

I think Kevin Spacey's Lex could literally kick MR Lex. But figuratively, I'll still take MR. KS does do a great evil Lex though. I'm still not ready to see Lex go totally over to the dark side yet.

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
There is a way to change your poll answers--click on the Poll number and it should let you fill it out again.

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-03 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
And now that I've revealed my true opinion (on another post) I can answer you substantively: I agree with you that BR was better than CR! We're both probably going to be smited by someone for that unpopular opinion. And like you, though I do think BR is a great Clark, I don't know I'd go so far as to say that he's better than TW. (I did say this in my first flush of enthusiasm for the film, but I'm backtracking now). I love TW's angsty Clark--it's a great performance. I think it's not the acting of BR I prefer so much as the writing that lets Clark be sweet and dorky rather than angst-ridden.

And yeah, no Lex will ever truly be better than MR for me!

[identity profile] mailerose.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
If I was in Lex's body, world conquest would not be at the top of my agenda; I'd be way too busy playing with myself in front of a mirror.

Bwah!! There'd be so many things that came before world domination.

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That is very, very true!

[identity profile] prim-rose-etta.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I admire elegant polls. lol

5. If I was in Lex's body, world conquest would not be at the top of my agenda; I'd be way too busy playing with myself in front of a mirror. (Umm. Did I say that out loud?)

Soo there.

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
::Grinning:: Yeah, I think we're all there!

Have a very happy birthday, by the way!

[identity profile] prim-rose-etta.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 09:10 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you!! *G*
It was a beautiful day and I was with friends and family!!

I feel so bad about my poll answer, but I love Kevin. He's my favourite actor a million times.

(I totally didnt guess you were Zod until Kate told me)

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2006-07-02 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Kate must reveal the source of her super guessing power!!
