A brief, non-spoilery comment on Glee

I never thought Sue could be displaced as my favorite character on Glee, but Coach Beiste is definitely in the running to do so. And wow, bring on the enemy slash, please! (Note: spoilers can probably be expected in the comments).

Insta rec

I'm not a big fan of Glee, or much of a Kurt/Finn shipper, but I love Aristide's writing so I took a chance on Summer 2010, and wow was it ever worth it. This is a sweet, incredibly happymaking romance, as Finn becomes closer friends with Kurt after being dumped by Rachel, and gradually starts to realize his feelings are more than friendship. I think what I loved most about this story was how well it captured the emotional intensity of first love.

Happy-making television

TV, TV

Ok, all you folks who have been talking about what an amazing show Glee is know of what you speak. About three minutes into it, I realized that even though I really don't have time for another new show, I'm going to have to make time. I have always loved Jane Lynch, and Sue Sylvester is so hilarious I don't even have words. (The other characters are also various shades of wonderful, but I'm watching it for Jane Lynch).

I also watched the Leverage finale, even though I missed a few episodes, and now I have a question: Read more... )
