Yuletide rec

I am being completely undisciplined this year, and instead of reading alphabetically I skipped immediately to my favorite Yuletide fandoms, and I've been bookmarking my favorite stories on my pinboard, but I simply had to stop and recommend what may currently be my favorite Peter Wimsey fanfic of all time: Gentle Antidote. It's from Harriet's POV, set in a soulmate universe, in which 21-year-old Harriet discovers her soulmate is Peter Wimsey. I would never have thought that my favorite Peter Wimsey story would be a soulmate AU, but it is utterly fabulous: best Harriet voice, best Peter voice, best Honoria (aka the Dowager Duchess) voice, utterly fantastic worldbuilding, really interesting Mary, and just an utterly charming story. Meeting through a soulmate bond rather than a murder trial changes many things for Peter and Harriet, but they remain utterly themselves. I want about 100,000 words in this universe.
