Ok, that episode of H50 was annoying enough that I'm actually posting about it. (This week's ep, I don't know the title). ( Read more... )
Hawaii Five-O
Oct. 10th, 2011 10:26 pmWell, it was better than last week's episode, anyway? ( Read more... )
Wow, if this is where they're going with the Terry Quinn plots, I may have to bail on H50 until his guest arc is over. ( Read more... )
Meanwhile, The Good Wife continues to be awesome. ( Read more... )

H50 premiere
Sep. 19th, 2011 10:58 pmI am SO easy, but then again I've always been honest about liking this show for the pretty, not for the plot.

Another "you know you're in fandom" moment
Sep. 3rd, 2011 12:16 amSpecifically, you know you're in H50 fandom when (a) you almost can't restrain yourself from buying Longboards when you see them in the supermarket EVEN THOUGH YOU NEVER DRINK BEER; (b)the first thing you think of when accidentally stumbling onto a marathon of "Man, Woman, Wild" on the Discovery channel is wow, that would make a great Steve/Danny AU; (c) you find yourself shaking your head at the lack of research in a story about Danny running around in 100 degree heat when you happen to know the record high in Oahu was 95 degrees, set back in 1994. (And you don't even write fic yourself, you just researched it because of a general Hawaii obsession sparked by the show).
Not to mention this disease where you talk about yourself in the second person. What's up with that?

Tiger Soup (Hawaii Five-O, gen) is the story I didn't even know I wanted to read: an extremely compelling, tightly-plotted casefic centering around 5-0's investigation into Steve's mother's death. Obviously AU at this point, but actually most of the discoveries fit pretty well with canon. In addition to being an excellent, enjoyable, and long mystery case (it's about 38,000 words), it's told from Kono's POV, which I loved. There are so few Kono-centered stories in this fandom that aren't all about her being a yenta for Steve and Danny, and I really loved the Kono we get in this story.

Apr. 12th, 2011 11:26 amI know I've been kind of absent on LJ lately, mostly because work is eating my face, but in the little free time I've had in the last 6 weeks I've fallen hard for Hawaii Five-O. ( Cut for comments on last night's episode )
