Am I a crazy person?
Feb. 13th, 2009 08:34 amSo I agreed to go watch the new "Friday the 13th" movie with some friends tomorrow night, thinking (a) I need to get out of the house so Valentine's Day doesn't depress me; (b) I want to support the SPN boys*; and (c) I want to stare at Jared Padalecki on a big screen.
BUT. I'm starting to get worried, because (a) I actually hate all horror films that do not have vampires in them (I generally shut my eyes through the beginning parts of SPN); (b) I'm very squeamish; and (c) I really don't like to be scared in movies. I don't actually want to bail, because I would look like a wimp to my friends, plus with my current work schedule I don't do nearly enough RL socializing--I feel sometimes like I'm turning into a hermit--so I hate to give up an opportunity to hang out with friends just because horror movies freak me out. Plus I've heard the JP looks absolutely gorgeous in this.
What would probably be very helpful is if people spoiled the hell out of the movie for me, so at least there were no surprises. So if you've seen it, or see any spoilery reviews, could you link me to them? Thanks ever so much. * I couldn't see My Bloody Valentine in theaters, alas, since I have a disability that prevents me from watching 3-D movies.
