For anyone interested in that guess-who-my-favorite-characters-are meme I posted yesterday, almost all my favorites were correctly guessed. The only unguessed ones were John Winchester (for Supernatural), Lassiter from Psych, and Cristina and Addison from Grey's Anatomy.

Since a couple people asked, here is the best part of The Daily Show last night (via Comedy Central's webpage), as well as a link to the whole episode (via Hulu).

And if anyone else was as infuriated by Sarah Palin's convention speech as I was, here's a good critique of her candidacy by Gloria Steinem. ( A few good quotes from Steinem, in case that link goes dead )

I had to make myself stop reading commentary on her speech because steam was coming out of my ears. Fortunately, I found a good piece of fannish stress relief: a ten-minute vid of Jensen Ackles kissing people .
