I was napping, and just woke up from an incredibly vivid dream in which I was going to see a special extended edition of Captain America: Winter Soldier with a group of friends, only it turned out to be some sort of virtual reality/audience participation version, and in one of the climactic action scenes I was Captain Marvel battling some giant female monster with multiple heads, only I was insistent we couldn't kill her. That turned out to be good because when we turned the de-mutant ray on her, it was Lilah Morgan (!) (you know, from Angel?), only not the Lilah from our universe, but a Lilah from a parallel universe from the future (5048 to be exact) who was a hero. And to confirm this was all true, Wonder Woman showed up to verify Lilah's identity. And then we were apparently out of the VR simulation, because everyone was cheering at Wonder Woman's surprise cameo, partly because we knew this was setting up for her appearance in the next Avengers movie, and I didn't recognize the actress, so I needed to get on IMDB right away to find out who was playing her. [Apparently they don't run credits in VR simulations].

I don't even know where my brain comes up with these things, but it was fun!

I've been reading a fair bit of Iron Man fic lately, mostly Tony/Pepper --I am hoping to get together a rec list at some point --but in the meantime, [livejournal.com profile] basingstoke has just posted a completely awesome Ironman/Spiderman story, Paparazzo , which features a completely adorable Peter rescuing Tony from a bad situation and then learning a few things from him. Go! Read! And if anyone out there gets motivated to write more Tony/Peter, I really wouldn't complain.

First of all, thanks to all you anonymous folks that gave me love in [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn's Valentine's Game . Smooches to you all!!

And speaking of the marvellous things about fandom....Last night, when I was simultaneously watching the season finale of "Psych" and reading SPN fic (well, during the commercials) I thought, hmm, wouldn't a Psych/SPN crossover be fun to read? And then today without even deliberately looking for one I happened to stumble across [livejournal.com profile] trolllogicfics's Burnt Ash and Golden Eyes , which is marvellous. It turns out that Shawn Spencer is actually one of the "special" kids from Supernatural. It's hilarious, and has a marvellous Shawn voice (his conversation with the YED is especially funny), and great interactions with Gus. The Winchester brothers aren't a very big presence in the story, but they're there too. If you like Psych and know anything about the SPN-verse you'll like this story.
