I know, I know. I go weeks without posting and then the TV season starts and I post like a crazy woman. What can I say? The rest of my life is boring.

So I wasn't going to keep watching Dollhouse, except that

mskatej loves it, so as long as I was staying awake writing my Smallville review anyway, I figured I'd let it play in the background while I typed, in case she posts an episode review, so I would know what she was talking about--and then holy shit, it turned out to be seriously good. How did that happen? ( Cut for specific spoilers, though no actual deep analysis or anything )

( And just a couple brief comments on Psych )

And speaking of the marvellous things about fandom....Last night, when I was simultaneously watching the season finale of "Psych" and reading SPN fic (well, during the commercials) I thought, hmm, wouldn't a Psych/SPN crossover be fun to read? And then today without even deliberately looking for one I happened to stumble across

trolllogicfics's Burnt Ash and Golden Eyes , which is marvellous. It turns out that Shawn Spencer is actually one of the "special" kids from Supernatural. It's hilarious, and has a marvellous Shawn voice (his conversation with the YED is especially funny), and great interactions with Gus. The Winchester brothers aren't a very big presence in the story, but they're there too. If you like Psych and know anything about the SPN-verse you'll like this story.
