The Old Guard
Jul. 14th, 2020 10:08 amI see it's been over a year since I posted anything. Yikes. Part of the problem is that I didn't consume a lot of new media in the past year; I kind of got out of the habit of watching TV, and even the pandemic didn't change that much.
I did see somebody's post somewhere, though, that said something about The Old Guard being something like Highlander with Charlize Theron playing the Methos part, so I thought that was worth checking out, and I did enjoy it muchly. The rec I saw hadn't mentioned precisely how canonically gay it was, though! Let's see if I cant still remember how to do a ( spoiler cut )
Overall I wouldn't say it's very deep or anything, but it's gorgeous eyecandy and lots of fun action sequences and great relationships, so I'd definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it. It's on netflix.
